Dr. Spackey’s specialities are addictive disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma. She also works with coupleships and other relationship issues.
Dr. Spackey is a licensed clinical psychologist with advanced training in eating disorders and over 15 years of experience treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues and trauma. Dr. Spackey completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2000) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology along with post-doctoral training at Northwestern University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Department. After over 12 years of work in her own private practice followed by multiple years focusing on being a stay-at-home parent, Dr. Spackey is returning to join the group at Recover Restore Counseling.
Dr. Spackey enjoys working with clients struggling with a variety of issues and believes that a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship provides a foundation for each client to make desired changes. Using a non-judgmental and collaborative approach, Dr. Spackey incorporates a variety of evidence based treatments to equip clients with the necessary skills to move forward in their journey.
Dr. Spackey is currently pursuing her CSAT certification (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) under the leadership of Patrick Carnes and the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals.
